Estate and probate appraisals

Estate And Probate Appraisals

Executors, trustees and CPAs often need a home's value as of a specific past date for the estate, sometimes months or years later. We appraise the property as of that date and explain how we got there, in plain language.

Questions

The date we need is a while back. Can you still appraise it?

Yes. We value the home as it was on that date, using sales from around that time. If the home has changed since, tell us what changed.

Do I need to be there?

No. Someone just needs to give us access. A lockbox or key pickup works.

Can my CPA or attorney get the report?

Yes. Name them as intended users when you order and invite them to the portal.

What if the probate court must approve the fee?

When you book (right after your quote), check "The fee requires court or probate approval." Nothing is charged until the court approves.
