Mortgage appraisals

Want us for your loan appraisal?

We do appraisals for lenders too. Because of federal appraiser independence rules, the appraisal for a mortgage is ordered by your lender, usually through an appraisal management company (AMC), not by you. Here's how to request us:

  1. Tell your loan officerAsk for Reinam Appraisal by name. Lenders and AMCs can add an appraiser to their approved panel.
  2. Send us your lender's detailsWith your permission, we'll contact your lender or their AMC and ask to be added, and send our license and insurance.
  3. Your lender ordersIf we're approved, the lender or AMC assigns the appraisal to us and sets the fee. You pay through your loan, not on this site.

Good to know

Why can't I order it myself?

Federal rules (Appraiser Independence Requirements) keep borrowers and loan officers from choosing and paying the appraiser directly, so the value stays independent.

Can I use an appraisal I ordered myself for my loan?

Usually not. Most lenders, FHA and VA only accept appraisals they ordered. Ask your lender before ordering anything.

Private or hard-money loan?

Business-purpose private and hard-money loans are different: you can order those directly with an instant quote.

Send us your lender's details

No fee is charged here. If we're assigned, your lender or AMC sets the fee.
